
Paul Hewitt MSc, BSc (Hons), MCIPR, MRS
Paul Hewitt has 20 years' experience in B2B marketing and communications, across a range of industries Paul is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Publications and an Associate Member of the Market Research Society.
Paul graduated in 1990 with an Honours degree in Biochemistry. He then re-trained as a journalist and won a “Young Journalists” scholarship funded by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Helsinki. On his return Paul worked in a number of writing roles, including freelancer for the Daily Express, Senior Copywriter for a Business to Business PR agency and Technical Author for ICL In 2002 Paul moved into Communications Management, working as Group Communications Manager for Parkside Housing Group. At the same time Paul took a part-time MSc in Corporate Communications, achieving the first ever Distinction on that course, and began to develop a specialism in and passion for employee communications. Paul went on to publish a paper on the impact of email on internal communication, and delivered seminars for the CIPR on internal communications measurement. Paul has worked as an in-house internal communications manager for Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service, Norwich Union, and Centrica.
Today Paul specialises in internal/change communications, and communications research, underpinned by a broad marketing and communications and a scientific background. He undertakes contract work, and projects, for blue chip clients, and also some charitable/not-for-profit organisations.
Paul is also a competitive freestyle jetskier, sponsored by Loki Customs. In 2009 he was the national stock freestyle jetski champion and came third in the Pro class.

Karen Hewitt, BSc (Hons), MBA (Marketing), DipM, MA Interpreting (Sept ’10)
Karen Hewitt has 20 years' experience in Sales, Marketing and Strategic Management and is fluent in four languages (English, French, German and Spanish). She is also learning Portuguese.
Karen holds a BSc Hons in European Management Science (French), an MBA (Marketing) and the postgraduate diploma of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Her marketing work has been published; she has lectured in Strategic Management, and was latterly Marketing Director for Gael Ltd, an award-winning Scottish software company.
During her time at Gael, Karen was instrumental in finding international markets for the company's MindGenius software. Prior to joining Gael, Karen gained unique strategy experience in Venezuela, spending two years working with the national shipping line and assisting clients in the oil and gas sector.
In 2009/10, Karen decided to turn a long-standing passion for languages and cultures into a formal qualification, training to be an interpreter in three other languages. In October 2010 she will graduate with an MA in Interpreting from London Metropolitan University.
Karen is passionate about the arts, dance, extreme sports and acrobatics. In 2000 she was UK merengue champion, in 2004 she directed the hit Edinburgh Festival show “Salsa Invasion” and performed with the circus in Brazil, and in 2008 she volunteered with Mercy Corps in Guatemala.
